PARKS YES! Thanks Anderson!

robherkingOn behalf of the Board of Park Commissioners, thank you Anderson Township residents for voting yes to replace the Anderson Township Park District’s operating levy on November 8th. We are fortunate to live in a township where the residents recognize the benefits of continuing a quality park system in their community.

The Commissioners extend a sincere thank you to those who placed levy signs in their yards and donated their personal resources to the effort. Numerous volunteers devoted countless hours of their personal time to share the park’s message with the voters. We specifically want to recognize the Citizens for Parks and Recreation Levy Committee Members for their tireless efforts on behalf of your parks: Nadine Gelter, Levy Chair, and Harry Fermann, Treasurer. I also thank the ATPD staff whose efforts to educate the public about the purpose for the operating levy ensured a positive outcome for this endeavor.

With the new operating levy in place, the Anderson Township Park District will continue to operate and maintain your parks for the next ten years. In keeping with our word, we will rescind the 2008 levy immediately.

Again, thank you, Anderson Township residents, for your continued support. We are grateful for your approval.

Please visit our website for exciting activities happening in your parks, and for year-round programs, leagues and events for people of all ages: AndersonParks.com.

We look forward to seeing you in the parks!

Best Regards,

Rob Herking
